Signed to Frontiers Music and rising fast, VELVET RUSH are bringing the fire back to modern rock — fusing blues-soaked hard rock, ’70s swagger, and a fierce contemporary edge into a sound that hits hard and refuses to play safe.
Fronted by the formidable Sandra Lian, whose powerhouse vocals are raw, rebellious and untamed, the band delivers a commanding stage presence that hooks audiences from the very first note. VELVET RUSH channel the grit and authenticity of classic rock while sounding unmistakably modern — bold, groove-heavy, soulful, and unapologetically loud. Their shows don’t just entertain — they hit like a surge of pure rock’n’roll electricity.
Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, the quartet is completed by James Moncur (guitar), Tim Black (bass), and Daniel Rothe (drums) — seasoned players who lay down a fiery, vintage-inspired foundation for their frontwoman. The onstage chemistry is undeniable, turning every performance into a high-voltage, immersive experience.
The band recorded their material at the legendary Chameleon Studios in Hamburg with acclaimed producer Eike Freese(credits include Deep Purple, Simple Minds, Slash, Status Quo). The result is a hard-hitting sound packed with driving guitars, infectious hooks, and Sandra Lian’s unmistakable, powerhouse voice.
International Breakthrough & Debut Album:
Their debut single “Euphonia” marked an instant international breakthrough, earning “Best Rock Song of the Week” from Classic Rock Magazine UK in October 2024.
On September 25, 2025, VELVET RUSH released their highly anticipated debut album Trail of Gold. The record was spotlighted as “Tip of the Month” and “Tip of the Year” by leading publications including Classic Rock Magazine, ROCKS Magazine, and Rock Hard.
The track “Shake That Thing” was also featured on the official Classic Rock Magazine CD sampler.
